MOBILE NETWORK GROUP has positioned itself on the market for in-app advertising sales with innovative, powerful technology and advertising formats
Paris, 10 February 2015 – Mobile Network Group (FR0010812230 – ALMNG) today announces the acquisition of Appsfire, a pioneer in the field of native mobile advertising and marketing services for developers.
This acquisition is an excellent development opportunity for Mobile Network Group, as the two companies are complementary in terms of both geography and technology.
Appsfire was founded in 2010 as a mobile application research company. It has recently focused its development on highly innovative mobile advertising technologies. These technologies allow content publishers to improve how various media formats are integrated into their applications, while developing native, targeted mobile advertising experiences. These have a much higher acceptance rate among mobile users and generate conversion rates that are five to ten times higher than standard advertising formats. Appsfire has clearly positioned itself on the highly lucrative market for in-app advertising sales, which is estimated to be worth $4.6 billion in the USA in 2015 and $6.8 billion in 2019. According to Business Insider, this represents 30% of the global market for mobile advertising and is the main source of revenue for the US Internet giants.
Moreover, Appsfire, which has clients in 45 countries, is also present in the USA, a key market on which Mobile Network Group is not yet present and that is attractive for several reasons, in particular strategy, bearing in mind that the US market is at the cutting edge of mobile advertising and is home to the most powerful content publishers.
Paul Amsellem, the CEO of Mobile Network Group, stated regarding this acquisition: “We are very proud to be joining forces with a pioneer company in the field of mobile advertising. The acquisition of Appsfire is a key stage in our development and allows us to further consolidate our position as a major force on the mobile advertising market, by offering our clients the latest technology and additional premium ad space. Our expertise in integrating acquisitions will allow us to develop major synergies.”
Ouriel Ohayon, Appsfire’s joint founder and CEO, added: “We have chosen to join forces with Mobile Network Group as we share the same culture of innovation and the same ambition to develop mobile advertising. This merger will enable us to drawn on Mobile Network Group’s renowned client service expertise, while continuing to grow Appsfire, in particular on international markets.”
