The Working Environment:

Geschrieben am Thursday, 13. October 2011 von Kristina

No more Monday morning blues, no more bags under your eyes, no more stolen moments of sunshine and no more ghastly offices!

As you may have heard, there are a number of perks that come with working at madvertise, yet there is one topic in particular which I must stress the importance of – The working environment.

Your office is the space in which productivity and creativity should flourish- Needless to say it is ever so important that you and your colleagues are happy in your working space. And so, I’d like to take this opportunity to offer you a sneak peek into our office here in the heart of Berlin, and recommend just a few of our favorite places.

madvertise has been steadily growing and it is not surprising that we’ve chosen to relocate once or twice as our staff grew from 5-55, and counting! We’ve been settled here in Kreuzberg for a little over a year now and as we’ve been continuously welcoming new team members, our office feels more like home every day.. But never fear – we do in fact venture to our real homes as well, at least to catch our forty winks!

Dinner at the office isn’t unheard of and we often order dinner in the evenings meaning working late is all the more worth while. Lunch dates are a regular activity here and you’re pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing what to eat. I’m still to try the highly recommended hot soup from Bagels & Bialy’s and while Kuchen-Kaiser remains a popular eating spot for many ‘madvertisers’, I can often be found mulling over the choice of deserts at the ice cream shop, which is dangerously situated just a few yards away. We cook breakfast and lunch together regularly and let us not forget our Chief Lifestyle Officer Ivona who cooks the entire Berlin office exotic dishes from time to time.

There’s a huge choice of drinking spots not too far from here like trendy Luzia, Kottimonarch and the quirky Café Obermaier.

All departments sit together in one large open-plan room filled with towering green plants and windows from the ceiling down. Although the mad tech team are privy to their own room, their walls are made of glass so they don’t get up to any mischief! The famous co-working space betahaus is just around the corner while Alexanderplatz is just three stops away on the u-bahn.

It’s the little things that add up to make a nice working environment and so naturally our office wouldn’t be such a pleasant place without our comfy chairs, our well equipped kitchen, our easily accessible office supplies and our large accommodating desk space. Forget cubicles, hard back chairs, back to back desktops, the dingy office supply cupboard and those precious few stolen moments of sunlight that your old office windows occasionally catch.

Relocation could be on the cards in the future as the madvertise family continues to grow bigger and better but for now our headquarters in Berlin accommodate us all nicely. Next week our international team members will join us here for our monthly team event – keep an eye on the blog for news!

We’re currently looking to welcome new madvertise members to our offices in London, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid and Milan.

As well as Software Developers and Technical Product Managers we’re also looking to expand our Business Development department with a part-time Accounting Assistant as well as a new Team Assistant. We’re currently recruiting for all of our European offices and our Business Development positions are just a few from our vast range of opportunities right here in Berlin – check out our brimming careers page.

Autumn is settling in now and although the air outside is chilly, the sun still insists on shining! If you’re keen on coming to work for madvertise but can’t quite find the right role available write to us anyway! We welcome talent and if you feel you have the knack for something in particular, we’ll see if we can find the right place for you in the madvertise family.
